NHS-experienced clinicians — not a contractor network.
Getting the right care shouldn't mean struggling to travel when you're in pain, recovering from surgery, or managing a long-term condition. We come to you.
Our HCPC-registered physiotherapists and occupational therapists cover Botley and the surrounding area, including Boorley Green, Curdridge, Durley, Long Common and Curbridge. We visit patients in their own home, care home, or nursing home — building a treatment plan around your life, not a clinic timetable.
We treat a wide range of conditions including falls prevention, stroke rehabilitation, Parkinson's disease, hip and knee replacement recovery, back and joint pain, and post-operative rehabilitation. We aim to offer same-week appointments across the Botley area, and no GP referral is needed — call us directly to book your home visit.
Our clinicians each hold specialist areas of expertise, and we carefully match every patient with the physiotherapist or occupational therapist best suited to their condition and needs. Whatever brings you to us, we go the extra mile to make sure you feel supported, motivated and genuinely cared for throughout your recovery.
We provide specialist home physio and OT visits for:
- Older People Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy
- Neurological rehabilitation — including Parkinson's disease and stroke recovery
- Falls prevention and balance rehabilitation
- Recovering mobility, strength and confidence after a hospital stay
- Pre and post-operative care — including hip and knee replacements
- Back pain, joint pain, muscle pain and more
- Rheumatological Conditions
Botley is not a place where getting about is usually difficult — which is exactly why the people who do struggle are easy to overlook.

Botley is a younger village than most of the places we cover. The Boorley Park development added around 1,400 homes in a decade, and the age profile shifted with it — just over 17 per cent of residents are aged 65 or over, slightly below the England average. That figure hides the group that matters. Roughly one household in nine is a single person aged 66 or over living on their own: 328 households where there is nobody else in the house to drive you to an appointment, collect a prescription, or notice that you have stopped going upstairs.
Most people here have a car, and Botley has its own railway station, so this is not a story about isolation. It is a story about where the services are. There is no minor injuries unit and no urgent treatment centre anywhere in Eastleigh borough — the nearest is in Southampton, around nine miles away, and the nearest A&E is Southampton General at roughly ten. No bus runs directly from Botley to either of them; you change in Southampton or Bitterne. For someone recovering from a fracture or a stroke, a twice-weekly appointment involving two buses each way is not rehabilitation, it is an ordeal. The current bypass works make it worse still — around 80 per cent of the traffic through the village is passing through, with roughly 500 lorry movements a day, and Woodhouse Lane stays partially closed into early 2027.
The nearest hospital of any kind is Moorgreen at West End, about three miles away, but it is a base for community and mental health teams rather than a general hospital. After a discharge, most short-term support comes through Hampshire County Council's reablement service, which is free, includes occupational therapists as well as care staff, and is capped at six weeks. It works well for a lot of people. The problem is what happens in month three, when the reablement team has finished and recovery has not. That is where we come in — at home, for as long as it is genuinely helping, and alongside whatever NHS or council support you already have rather than in place of it.
Nothing means more to us than the 5-star reviews our clients share on Google. These heartfelt testimonials showcase what drives our team every day — delivering expert, empathetic physiotherapy care that helps people rebuild their strength, mobility, and independence without leaving home.

Whatever your condition, we match you with the clinician whose specialism fits your needs — and we treat you in the place where you actually have to manage day to day.
The same rate whether you see a physiotherapist or an occupational therapist. Most Botley visits carry no travel charge at all.
Travel is charged at £1.50 per mile beyond a 5-mile radius and always agreed before your first visit. See our full price list
Most people pay privately, but it isn't the only route.
- Paying privately — no referral, pay after each visit
- Private health insurance, including BUPA and WPA
- Personal budgets and Direct Payments from your council
- NHS Continuing Healthcare funding you already hold
Cover varies by policy and by council, so it's worth checking what yours includes before you book. We've written a plain-English guide explaining how each route works and what to ask.

Where NHS rehabilitation ends, and how we pick up from there.
Botley has no hospital, and neither does anywhere else in Eastleigh borough. The nearest hospital of any kind is Moorgreen at West End, about three miles away, but it is a base for community and mental health teams under Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust rather than a general hospital. Fareham Community Hospital at Sarisbury is four or five miles off, and has neither an A&E nor a minor injuries unit.
Surgery and emergency admissions mean Southampton General, roughly ten miles away and part of University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, which is also the major trauma centre for the whole of Wessex. Depending on the consultant, some Botley patients are seen instead at Queen Alexandra in Cosham, a similar distance in the other direction. The nearest urgent treatment centre is at the Royal South Hants in Southampton.
Once you're home, short-term support usually comes through Hampshire County Council's reablement service. It's free, the teams include occupational therapists as well as care staff, and it works well for a great many people. It is also capped at six weeks, and it has firm boundaries — reablement workers cannot carry out nursing procedures, and cannot help with medication that has been taken out of its original packaging.
The difficulty comes when that support ends but recovery hasn't finished. Progress after a stroke, a fracture or a long admission often continues for months, and six weeks rarely covers it. Continuing as an outpatient means getting to Southampton twice a week, and there is no direct bus from Botley to either the General or the urgent treatment centre — you change in Southampton or Bitterne. We continue the work at home instead, for as long as it's genuinely helping, and alongside any NHS or council support already in place rather than in place of it.
We Help You Live Independently With Confidence, Meaning & Purpose
Whether you're rebuilding strength after a hip replacement, regaining confidence following a fall, or managing life with a stroke or neurological condition — getting to a clinic isn't always possible. We remove that barrier entirely.
Our physiotherapists and occupational therapists come to you, delivering expert one-to-one treatment in your home or care home. No difficult journeys. No waiting rooms. Just focused, specialist care at a time and pace that works for you.
We treat you as a whole person — not just your symptoms.
We take the time to understand your life, your challenges, and what independence means to you. Then we build a treatment plan around that. As a small, close-knit team, we also work alongside your family and carers, making sure everyone involved in your care feels supported, informed and part of the process.
Our clinicians each hold specialist areas of expertise, and we carefully match every patient with the therapist best suited to their condition and goals. From the very first visit, you're in the right hands.
Request a Call BackDo you provide home physiotherapy in Botley?
Yes. Salveo Forma provides home physiotherapy and occupational therapy throughout Botley and the surrounding SO30 area, with HCPC-registered clinicians visiting you in your own home, care home or nursing home. No GP referral is needed — call 07384 590177 to arrange a visit. We cover Boorley Green, Curdridge, Durley, Long Common and Curbridge.
How much does a home physiotherapy visit cost in Botley?
A comprehensive initial assessment including treatment is £110 for 60 minutes or more. Follow-up visits are £55 for 30 minutes, £82.50 for 45 minutes and £110 for 60 minutes. Occupational therapy costs exactly the same as physiotherapy. Most Botley visits carry no travel charge.
Can I use private health insurance or a personal budget?
Yes. We work with BUPA, WPA and all major insurers, and we can accept payment from a council personal budget or Direct Payment, or from NHS Continuing Healthcare funding you already hold. Cover varies by policy and by council, so check what yours includes first — our guide to paying for care explains what to ask.
Do I need a GP referral for a home visit in Botley?
No. You can contact us directly on 07384 590177 and we'll arrange an appointment. We also accept referrals from GPs, hospital consultants and insurers, but most people come to us themselves.
Is there a hospital in Botley?
No. There is no hospital in Botley and no minor injuries unit or urgent treatment centre anywhere in Eastleigh borough. The nearest hospital of any kind is Moorgreen at West End, roughly three miles away, which is a base for community and mental health teams rather than a general hospital. The nearest A&E is Southampton General at around ten miles, and the nearest urgent treatment centre is at the Royal South Hants in Southampton.
How does this work alongside NHS rehabilitation and Hampshire's reablement service?
We work alongside NHS and council support rather than replacing it. Hampshire County Council's reablement service is free, includes occupational therapists, and runs for a maximum of six weeks after a hospital discharge. Most of our Botley clients come to us once that has finished but recovery is still going on, or when continuing as an outpatient in Southampton is not realistic — there is no direct bus from Botley to the General or the urgent treatment centre. If you are currently under NHS care, tell us and we'll make sure what we do complements it.
How quickly can someone visit me in Botley?
We aim to offer same-week appointments wherever possible. Availability does vary by area and by therapist, so we work with you to find a time that fits around your commitments. Call 07384 590177 and we'll tell you honestly what we can do.
