About Saadiyah

Saadiyah holds a first-class BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Southampton and has nine years in healthcare, four of them in the NHS. She has worked across both the private sector and the NHS, delivering physiotherapy in hospital, community and educational settings across Hampshire and the surrounding area.

She still works as a specialist physiotherapist in an NHS learning disability service, where she also holds the role of Falls Lead.

Her specialism is postural management across learning disability services, older people’s rehabilitation and community-based neurological rehabilitation. Alongside that she has expertise in stroke rehabilitation and post-operative orthopaedic recovery.

She is particularly committed to supporting people with neurodevelopmental and complex physical disabilities, including cerebral palsy, stroke and degenerative conditions — work that also draws on her training in hydrotherapy, gait training and postural care. Much of it is with people growing older with a lifelong condition, where posture, comfort and staying steady matter more with every passing year.

Saadiyah’s reason for joining us is a simple one, and she puts it plainly: she values her NHS role, but many people would benefit from more physiotherapy than a stretched service can give — whether to hold on to what they can do, to improve it, or simply to feel confident in their own body again.

She is known for a calm and empathetic manner, and builds strong working relationships with clients and their families so that care is not only effective but leaves people more capable than it found them.

Common questions

Does Saadiyah work with adults with learning disabilities?

Yes — it is her main specialism, and she works in an NHS learning disability service alongside her visits for us. Her particular focus is postural management: how someone is positioned through the day and night, to protect their joints, prevent deformity and make daily activities easier. She works with neurodevelopmental and complex physical disabilities including cerebral palsy, and supports families and carers alongside the person themselves. Call 07384 590177.

Can Saadiyah help someone who keeps falling?

Yes. Saadiyah is the Falls Lead for her NHS team, which means she sets the approach to falls prevention across the service rather than simply following it. She assesses balance, strength, posture and the home environment, then builds a plan to reduce the risk — and posture is often the part other assessments miss.

Does Saadiyah cover Southampton and East Hampshire?

Yes. Saadiyah visits homes across Southampton and East Hampshire, including Petersfield, Alton, Whitehill and Bordon, Liphook, Liss, Horndean, Waterlooville, Havant and Emsworth. No GP referral is needed, and we aim to offer same-week appointments wherever possible.
