I am a Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist with over 10 years’ experience providing rehabilitation across home, community, inpatient and outpatient settings in both NHS and private services. Since qualifying in 2013, I have developed a broad and advanced clinical skillset through work in a wide range of neurological rehabilitation environments.
My practice is rooted in a client-centred, evidence-based approach that focuses on functional recovery, independence and meaningful participation. I work closely with families, carers and wider multidisciplinary teams to create rehabilitation pathways that are holistic, goal-driven and tailored to each person’s needs.
I have extensive experience supporting adults with complex neurological conditions, including acquired brain injury (ABI), spinal cord injury (SCI), stroke, functional neurological disorder (FND), and other neurological and neurodegenerative conditions. My clinical expertise includes spasticity and tone management, vestibular assessment and treatment, functional restoration, community reintegration, and goal-oriented rehabilitation planning. I am also experienced in orthotic provision, lower-limb soft and Scotch casting, seating and positioning, and complex gait rehabilitation.
My specialist therapeutic approaches include hydrotherapy and aquatic therapy, neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES), functional electrical stimulation (FES) and a range of adjunct techniques designed to optimise motor recovery, movement quality, and postural control.
As part of my clinical work, I complete comprehensive assessments, develop bespoke rehabilitation plans, and support cohesive team working to ensure timely, coordinated and effective care and rehabilitation. I provide clear, evidence-based reasoning to guide decision-making, goal setting and the overall rehabilitation journey.
Throughout my career, I have been committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality neurological rehabilitation that empowers individuals to achieve their goals, maximise function and improve their quality of life. My practice continues to be driven by ongoing professional development, reflective learning and a dedication to maintaining high standards within neurological physiotherapy.
